K Kavitha Summoned by ED in Delhi Excise Scam

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued new summons to K Kavitha, the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and a member of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) legislative council, in connection with the Delhi excise scam.

Kavitha has been summoned to the ED’s Delhi headquarters for questioning on Friday.

This comes on the heels of Arun Ramchandra Pillai’s recent decision to become an approver in the Delhi liquor scam. In the current ED probe, five people have now been appointed as approvers.

The ED had earlier summoned Kavitha to their Delhi headquarters for questioning on two occasions. These additional summonses have sparked talk of her arrest in connection with the scheme.

The ED has already charged Arun Ramachandra Pillai with acting as a proxy for MLC Kavita and accepting payments connected to Delhi liquor policy.

The investigation into the Delhi excise scandal is still ongoing, and the ED is aggressively pursuing leads in order to unearth any wrongdoing in this case.
