Class 11 student-built a robot that soaks up pollutants from the air
Kanpur: With worries over air pollution growing every day, a Class 11 student from Kanpur has built up a one of a kind robot that soaks up pollutants from the air and then works as a purifier.
‘Air Purifier Robot’ that comes with an air purifier machine placed inside it is made by Pranjal and his classmate Aarendra.
Pranjal stated, “With rising air pollution, I thought of building a robot that could purify the air in the environment and soak pollutants at the same time. We have installed a purifier inside the device for this purpose.”
When it operates, the Air Purifier Robot can filter the polluted air and then clean air would be released in the environment and the polluted particles will stay behind in the air filter inside.
His school principal, Pooja Awasthi, said “Pranjal is our future scientist, he has also helped a lot in the school lab. I am incredibly proud of the boy and the Air Purifier Robot that he has built. Air pollution is a major concern of recent times and therefore, his invention seems more worthy than ever.”
Pranjal plans to seek advice from some senior scientists on his invention and make improvements, if necessary.
Positioned as the fifth most polluted city in India, Kanpur’s continually lowering air quality index has the locals frightened.
The current air quality and that of not so distant future may have a severe health impact on the public of Kanpur if appropriate control and precautionary steps are not taken with a sense of urgency. Health problems because of the dangerous intake of air in a pandemic may weaken the body immunity of people making them an easy target of the infection attacks. Every single individual is requested to exercise self-caution while going out, and now, face masks are an absolute necessity.
Pollution in India has always been an issue and it’s only going to get worse if necessary steps are not taken to reduce it or completely end it.
