Karnataka Government Makes Uniform Compulsory For Pre-University Campus Students

As per the latest reports, the Karnataka government has made uniforms mandatory for Pre-University Course(PUC) students from the scholastic year 2022-23. The directive forms a part of the guidelines issued for the PUC students.

As per sources, the decision BJP took the choice thinking about a hijab emergency, when the PU classes restart. The SSLC (Class 10) results were reported on Thursday in the state and confirmations for the PU universities will start from Friday onwards.

In the rules gave by the Education Department for 2020-21 scholarly year, outfits were not necessary. Sources in the Education division said that the new rule will engage school administrations to carry out a restriction on hijab in homerooms.

A few parents and students have scrutinized the government’s choice. Notwithstanding, the Special Bench of Karnataka High Court which heard the matter maintaining the government request expressed that wearing of uniform is obligatory for students.
