Karnataka Halal Ban: CM Directs SPs, DCs To Maintain High Vigilance During Ugadi

In the latest update, the Halal ban discussion in Karnataka has taken a genuine turn in the state. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday said that he has coordinated all Superintendents of Police (SP) and Deputy Commissioners to start severe action against elements who attempt to make issues during the festival.

Karnataka is observing Ugadi celebration on Saturday followed by ‘Hosa tadukua’ on Sunday. Individuals particularly in south Karnataka devour non-veggie lover food en mass during this period. Hindutva activists are completing an undeniable mission that Hindus should not make acquisition of halal cut meat.

Responding to an inquiry, Bommai said that he experiences coordinated to direct harmony gatherings between heads of networks and guarantee that the rule of peace and law framework isn’t upset in the state.

In the mean time, Bhadravathi police in Shivamogga locale captured 7 people for attacking inn staff requesting non-halal meat on Friday night. The captured people had gone to a chicken meat slow down, manhandled and undermined the proprietor that he shouldn’t sell halal meat as close to 100% of the number of inhabitants in the space follow Hindu religion.

A similar gathering went to the Janata lodging and requested jhatka cut meat. They demanded that the lodging shouldn’t sell halal cut meat. They squabbled with a client and attacked one of the lodging staff. The inn and meat retailers had stopped a protest with the police.

Shivamogga SP Lakshmi Prasad expressed that in view of two FIRs, Vadivelu, Savai Singh, Srikanth, Krishna, Gunda and other two people were captured. In the interim, Shashikala Jolle, Minister for Muzarai and Wakf, expressed on Saturday, “we are with Hindu activists who are doing efforts against halal meat. I need to find out about halal and jhatka cut. When I assemble data, will converse with CM Bommai and he will accept an approach it.”
