Karnataka: SDPI To Protests Against Halal Meat Ban

In the latest updates, the campaign to blacklist halal meat has heightened across Karnataka, the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) on Friday will arrange protests across taluks and regions in the state. SDPI State President Abdul Majeed said that the state’s decision BJP is making rebellion, which is the reason they have required the protests.

The police have made tight security plans to keep up with the rule of law during the exhibitions. In the interim, the campaign to blacklist halal meat has spread to the regions of Shivamogga, Ramanagar and Mandya.

In Ramnagar, BJP leaders have purportedly posted recordings via online entertainment and spoke to individuals against purchasing halal meat. Bajrang Dal activists in Shivamogga organized protests by visiting lodgings and butchers in Bhadravathi town which prompted a verbal quarrel. A grumbling has been stopped against seven activists in association.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) activists have likewise begun circulating handouts to purchase meat just from Hindu priests. In Mysuru locale, Jana Jagruthi Samithi has made an accommodation to region specialists to boycott halal items.

Hindu protestors Prashant Sambaragi has kept in touch with the state’s Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Umesh Katti to give bearings to internet shopping gateways and sites to give a choice to purchase non-halal meat.

This comes after the Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said his administration will investigate protest raised against ‘halal’ meat, some Bajrang Dal activists purportedly went after a Muslim seller in Bhadravathi on Thursday, police said. Shivamogga Superintendent of Police (SP) BM Laxmi Prasad let ANI know that a FIR has been enlisted under important areas.

“Bajrang Dal activists contended and afterward went after a Muslim seller. A FIR has been enrolled at Hosamane police headquarters in Bhadravati,” the Shivamogga SP said.

Police said that some Bajrang Dal activists around 12.30 pm on Wednesday were battling in the Hosamane region against ‘halal’ meat. They purportedly threatened Muslim meat seller Thousif.
