KCR Govt offers free houses to Poor, Cong rule looted money : KTR

Hyderabad: Accusing the Congress government of looting money in the name of box-like Indiramma houses.  Municipal Minister KTR today reiterated that the KCR Government offers two-bedroom houses free of cost to the poor enabling them to make respectful lives.

He officially launched 1152 units of 2 BHK houses at Jiyaguda and nearby places along with Ministers Mahamood Ali, T Srinivas Yadav,  Mayor B Rammohan,  GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, and others.  Of 840 units built the ministers gave 560 units to beneficiaries. A total of 1152 houses be given to the poor in this area.

He stated that these houses built as gated communities have to be maintained in a scientific method by removing garbage and keep clean premises to avoid diseases.  KTR asked the poor to abstain from giving a single paise to leaders or others to get houses,  The leaders or officials will not ask for money as the KCR government is offering the houses free to the poor.

He slammed the Congress rulers for duping people by looting money for 550 Indiramma houses which are not actually built and given in Parakal Mandal 7 years ago.  Despite cheating the poor, the Congress leaders are making false charges on the 2 BHK units, he charged.

He condemned the Congress charges of not building 1 lakh houses.  We will give them details to check besides beautification of the Musi river.  The Congress government failed to give houses and minted money he charged.  We will complete 2.75 lakh quality houses for the poor and give them he claimed.  In 35 years the successive governments built only 45 lakh houses and still there are poor without houses.

The present cost of each house is Rs 40 lakhs to Rs 50 lakhs and units will be disbursed may be late with the quality he assured.  As much as Rs 18000 crore being spent for the housing scheme which is not in the entire country, and it is valued is around Rs 70000 crore in the market, KTR said.  Unlike other states, the Telangana government headed by KCR is spending huge funds on several welfare schemes.
