KCR Govt revived professional communities: Talasani gives Rs 2 lakh to 105 fishermen families

Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Minister, Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said that the KCR Government is offering huge funds to revive professional communities in the state.

The Minister participated in a National fishermen’s day at Haritha Plaza here with officials. Srinivas Yadav distributed cheques to kin of fishermen who died in the State. The minister offered Rs 2 lakh cheque each for 105 fishermen families at the event.

He attributed the welfare programs in Telangana to the vision and commitment of the chief minister. So far we gave Rs 97.98 lakhs towards insurance premium on behalf of the government, the minister claimed.

The government identified 3,36,779 fishermen as eligible for the scheme to get benefits, he said. Only the Telangana state is giving huge funds to revive the professional communities in a big way, he said.

The National Fisheries Development center is appointed a nodal agency to implement this insurance scheme, the minister said. Those who got registered in fishermen cooperative societies are eligible to get insurance the minister said.

The minister said that the government is implementing a wide variety of schemes for the benefit of SC, ST, BCs, and Minorities. No other states in India are able to implement such schemes and funds except Telangana he said. He attributed welfare to the determination of the TRS leadership.
