‘KCR Kit’ for pregnant women saves Rs 12,500 cr

Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy today said that Telangana state is number one state in the country in welfare schemes and developmental programs. KCR Kits has significantly increased institutional deliveries and saved about Rs 12,500 cr to the exchequer and providing better health services to the people across the state. The minister attended some development programs at Mudu Chintalapally village at Shamirpet Mandal of Medchal district on Friday including laying foundation for Rs 99 lakh Kamidi Veera Reddy Primary Health Center, Rs 75 lakh multi-purpose community hall and Rs 70 lakh BT Road.

Speaking on the occasion the minister said that rapid growth and speedy development of all fields is a fitting lesson to those who questioned the statehood. Kanti Velugu will be launched in August to provide operations, goggles and medicines to the people. In addition to Rythu Bandhu cheques the government will provide Rs 5 lakh insurance cover to the farmers in the state which is first of its kind in the country, he claimed.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is transforming the state into a golden Telangana and efforts are on for developing it into a healthy state. We are lucky to have KCR as our chief Minister who struggled for the statehood, he said. With a focus on welfare and development the KCR Government is in forefront to push ahead with flagship programs. Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak, schemes, Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya and others. No past government had the ideas of such schemes towards welfare of the poor and deprived class he said adding that the TRS Government is according top priority to them and spending huge funds. (NSS)
