Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today directed the irrigation officials to release one TMC of water from Yellampally to Flood Flow Canal utilizing the SRSP Revival Scheme.
The MLAs, belonging to the united old Karimnagar district, have brought to the notice of the Chief Minister that since there was no enough storage of water available in SRSP, the ayacut farmers were facing problems. Responding to their request, the CM instructed the officials to utilize the alternative way provided under the SRSP revival Scheme. He also instructed that one TMC of water should be released from Yellampally to Flood Flow Canal via Nandi Medaram, Lakshmipuram, Rampur and Rajeshwarpet. With this, the CM said, water should be given for the SRSP Rabi Crop for lands under the jurisdiction of Balkonda, Jagtial, Choppadandi, Karimnagar, Vemulawada, and Dharmapuri constituencies.
Engineer-in-Chief Anil said water would be released in tune with the instructions given by the CM.
