KCR will unfurl tricolour in Hyderabad on August 15

Hyderabad: Telangana Government today decided to conduct Independence Day celebrations in the state on August 15.

Chief secretary Somesh Kumar has informed this and issued a GO in this regard. As part of the State level program, Chief Minister KCR will unfurl tricolour in Hyderabad on August 15 at 10.30 am he said.

The order states that the KCR and their cabinet ministers,  whips, and other dignitaries will participate in independence Day celebrations in all 32 districts and unfurl tricolour.  The government has instructed the district collectors to make necessary arrangements for the same.  As per the government decision, the ministers and others will attend as per Corona protocols.

Addressing the 73rd Independence Day celebrations On 15th August 2019 at the historic Golconda Fort, KCR said the government would release funds from the Finance Commission grants to the local bodies before the commencement of the programme.

KCR said in 2018-19 Telangana figured among the top states in Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) with 14.84 per cent growth rate.

As per the promise made during the elections, the agriculture financial assistance is given under ‘Rythu Bandhu’ enhanced from Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 per acre per year.

KCR said in June 2020, farmers in the state will get an opportunity to get an additional 575 TMC (thousand million cubic feet) of water.

KCR, whose Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) retained power in December 2018, after achieving Telangana state through a great moment, they were carrying out the reconstruction with utmost devotion like performing of a ‘Yagnaa’.

KCR said that the government doubled the amount of ‘Asara’ pensions as promised during the elections. “We are giving Rs 3,016 per month to the differently-abled persons and Rs 2,016 to others. We have decided to reduce the eligibility age limit for the old-age pension from 65 to 57 years.”

KCR said that projects on Krishna and Godavari rivers were being completed on a fast track. He noted Kaleshwaram project, a man-made wonder caught the attention of the whole world and was inaugurated in the presence of Chief Ministers of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh recently.
