New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G. Kishan Reddy appreciated the round the clock duty being performed by the CISF personnel at critical and sensitive installations including Airports, Metro stations, and Atomic Energy, Space installations across the country. As Chief Guest, Kishan Reddy addressed the colorful Passing out Parade of the 33rd Batch Assistant Commandant/Direct Appointee, 45th Batch Sub-Inspector/Executive, and 1st Batch Assistant Sub Inspector/Exe held today at NISA, Hyderabad through video Conference.
While addressing, Kishan Reddy congratulated the trainees for making the history by participating in the first E-Passing out Parade. He applauded the growing role of CISF in the changing security scenario of the country. He said that after completion of training, the trainee officers have become a part of the most prestigious force of the nation which has served the nation for 50 years.
“As a part of CISF, the role of the new officers will be vital in our journey towards a new India and ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’, he said. Reddy also praised the women personnel of the CISF and their role in securing the most critical assets of the nation. He further acknowledged that the women personnel have made many noteworthy contributions to the force and, have proven to be a force multiplier for the CISF. The Minister has appreciated the role of NISA as the ‘Centre of Excellence’. He congratulated DG, CISF for his leadership of the force, which is attaining new milestones with each passing day.
In a colorful passing out parade, 100 trainees consisting of 11 Assistant Commandant (Probationer), 79 Sub Inspector, and 10 Assistant Sub-Inspector passed out from CISF NISA Hyderabad, while observing all preventive measures and social distancing norms. Union Minister of State (MoS) for Home Affairs, G. Kishan Reddy graced the occasion as Chief Guest who reviewed the E-Passing out Parade through Webinar along with Rajesh Ranjan, DG, CISF and other senior officers of CISF.
The POP of the newly inducted officers and personnel is a grand affair for the force, a moment of pride for the officer, personnel, and their family. But in times of Covid-19, this year for the first time in a new historical experiment, E-Passing out Parade was organized by CISF. The Passing out Parade was witnessed electronically by the families, friends and the general public through the web link.
In her welcome address, Anjana Sinha, Director, NISA Hyderabad presented a report on the training activities. She complimented the trainees for their sincerity and dedication and hoped that the rigorous training imparted at the Training Centre would make them stand in good stead in their professional career. She also elaborated the expanding roles of CISF and correspondingly the wide spectrum of specialized training imparted at NISA Hyderabad.
Rajesh Ranjan, DG CISF welcomed the Minister of State for Home G. Kishan Reddy on the occasion. While addressing through Webinar, he emphasized the role of CISF in protecting the vital installations. He said that the endeavour of CISF is to nurture the core underlying qualities like discipline, turnout, physical fitness and professionalism of all the officers and personnel that render the vital edge in our functioning. He said that our forte has been our ability to keep pace with technological advances, our amiable human interface with the general public and above all our robust core competence. DG, CISF further expressed gratitude towards the families of the trainees for having dedicated their wards in the service of a great Nation.
During the occasion, message of Home Minister, Amit Shah was also read by the DG, CISF. Home Minister praised the officers and personnel of CISF for their uncompromising determination and immaculate professionalism in securing the citizens and national assets during the Covid-19 epidemic. He also congratulated the trainees and staff and wished bright future for all trainees.
During the occasion, CISF annual publication “Sentinel-2020” & Coffee Table Book “Women Power-CISF” were released by the MoS for Home. The Coffee Table Book on women in CISF, showcased the journey of the women from their induction in the late 80s in CISF, to reaching the highest percentage among any CAPF.
The officers who passed out today, during the course of their training, have acquired skills in a wide array of subjects ranging from indoor subjects like Industrial Security, Security of Buildings, Monuments & Vital Installations, Intelligence & Surveillance, Aviation Security, IS Duties, Fire prevention & Fire fighting, Human Rights, VIP Security, Forensic Science, law, Science and Technology, Modern Electronic Security Gadgets, Computers, Human Behavior, CISF Act & Rules etc. They have also been imparted strenuous training on the handling of sophisticated weapons & sensitive electronic security-based gadgetry, drill movements apart from physical training. To meet and overcome the challenges of internal security duties and those arising from Naxal and Terror groups, the trainees were subjected to Jungle Camp training, raids, ambush & counter-ambush, night navigation, and QRT type practical training as well.
\Another major highlight of this batch is the certification in “Advance Post graduation diploma in industrial security, law & management” for the Assistant Commandants and “Post graduation diploma in industrial security, law & management” for the Sub-Inspectors from the “NALSAR” University of Law, Hyderabad.
