KTR Calls BJP as Jootakor Party, Asks Bandi to Apologize

TRS working president  KT Rama Rao today dubbed Bharatiya Janata Party as Jootakor party and demanded that BJP State president Bandi Sanjay tender an unconditional apology to the people of Telangana State for failing to fulfill the promises given by the Centre.

In an open letter addressed to the BJP State president, KT Rama Rao alleged that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre has deceived farmers of the Telangana State for failing to procure paddy and therefore Bandi doesn’t have any right to undertake the Padayatra. “At first, Bandi Sanjay should tender an unconditional apology to the people of Telangana. Secondly, people are not in a position to believe the words of BJP leaders as the Modi government has done nothing to the Telangana since the formation of the State,” KTR alleged.

The TRS working president also alleged that the Centre, instead of extending all support to the infant State, gave a raw deal in allocating the budget for various projects.  “Rather than naming his padayatra as Praja Sangrama Yatra, Bandi Sanjay should call it Praja Vanchana Yatra for making false promises and cheating people. There is nothing more deceptive than Bandi Sanjay starting his padayatra from the Palamuru region. Sanjay has no moral right to step into the Palamuru region, which was repeatedly betrayed by the Centre in terms of sanction of funds, negligence towards approval of projects, and also national project status to  Palamuru -Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS),” he said.

KTR said while the BJP government was discriminating against Telangana, especially Palamuru region by not sanctioning national project status to PRLIS, the BJP State leaders were trying to blame the State government for the same and misleading the people for political mileage.

Asking as to why the Centre was dilly-dallying with the allocation of Telangana’s share in Krishna River waters and betraying farmers of erstwhile Mahabubnagar district, KTR reminded that the Centre which sanctioned national project status to Upper Bhadra in BJP-ruled Karnataka was not extending similar support to Palamuru-Rangareddy LIS located in Telangana. Neither the promises made under Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act were fulfilled nor the recommendations of NITI Aayog to provide additional funds and grants to the State for its performance,” he stated.
