KTR reviews on Corona cases in Task Force Committee meeting

A Task Force Committee on Corona situation in the state headed by municipal minister KT Rama Rao today met at BRKR Bhavan here.

The meeting discussed along with Chief Secretary Sommesh Kumar widely on Corona cases rise,  deaths, facilities like injections, oxygen, beds, Remedisever, treatment, and services in the state.

The Committee aims to explore opportunities to get more vaccines, oxygen, Remdesivir injections, and beds to improve facilities. The meeting held as the state sees 10 days of lockdown 2.0 began today to curb cases in the pandemic. The KCR government decided for the lockdown to begin on Tuesday. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has appointed KTR as the chairman of the Corona situation to procure more oxygen, injections and supply them to all districts to meet the requirements. The state government has decided to invite global tenders to get more vials of vaccines to meet growing demands.

The task force Committee took stock of the case’s surge and deaths on the decline during the second wave and procurement of jabs, doses, oxygen, and support from the Centre. He asked about regular supply and stock arrival every day, and the need for injections and oxygen in the hospitals. The task force chief instructed the officials concerned to ensure that more stocks of oxygen and injections from the Centre.  The minister directed to supply adequate vaccines, oxygen, Remdesivir injections as per demand in the districts and offer services.

KTR reportedly said that the patients should not be denied treatment and services.  The hospitals and health centers in districts, towns and villages have to get more vaccines and oxygen supply to break the chain of Corona.

Officials present were secretaries Jayesh Ranjan, Sandip Kumar Sultana,, Vikas Raj and CMO secretary Rajasekhar Reddy.
