KTR Slam Centre for Failing to Give Land for Roads and Facilities

Telangana IT and Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao today slammed the center and Defense officials for failing to give land for roads and facilities in cantonment despite repeated pleas for new roads,alas, sky ways, and facilities the Centre is not giving land and coming in the way of skyways by denying lands.

This is not correct to the Centre to stall development works by the state government. Unnecessarily the Centre is coming in the way of development works, he charged.

He stated that they develop Sanath Nagar, Kukatpally segments with Cantonment Jubilee Hills and other areas with all facilities. He laid the foundation stone for the works of nalas at a cost of Rs 61 cr in the Sanath Nagar segment. With Minister Srinivas Yadav and others, KTR said that they are offering 20000 liters of drinking water free of cost to the people in the Cantonment area in addition to others in the twin cities. Though the Centre is not giving land for more roads and development we are ready to develop the cantonment area by spending funds, KTR said.  He asked the leaders to avoid politicizing the development works in the Cantonment area which will have to get more roads and facilities.

 The minister stated that the state government is making rapid strides in development. All sectors are on a growth path with proactive policies of the KCR Government, he claimed. KT Rama Rao said that they are ready to construct more roads, skyways,flyovers in the cantonment areas if the center allots lands. We are ready to give land to the defense wing in lieu of the land they give for roads and skyways, KT Rama Rao said. Though repeatedly asking the center is ignoring development and our pleas, he alleged. The minster slammed the center and defense officials for failing to develop the area or give the land.

The Minister for Municipalities and industries further said that various schemes are being implemented for women, the poor, farmers, and people. KT Rama Rao claimed that Telangana got a record as it surpassed the 10 lakh mark of giving Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak schemes for the marriage of poor girls. Such schemes are only being implemented in Telangana with more plans and funds, KTR said. The minister laid foundation for nala works at Rasulpura, Sanath Nagar, and Kukatpally.

MLC Vani Devi, GHMC Mayor G Vijaya Lakshmi, Commissioner Lokesh Kumar and officials were present.
