State Industries minister KTR today slammed the Central government on the distribution of the Covid virus vaccine and alleged that the state government was forced to invite global tenders as the central government did not take steps to distribute the requisite number of vaccines to it.
He said that the state was short of one crore vaccines and added that ten state governments had already invited tenders to procure them while noting that the state had invited the tenders although the state capital Hyderabad is a hub for vaccine production. KTR also responded to the issue of the strike by junior doctors.

He told the junior doctors that it was not the right time for them to go on the strike. He said that the state government was considering the problems faced by the junior doctors. He urged them to call off their strike.
