KTR takes aim at PM Modi over BJP leaders’ ugly remarks

Telangana Industries Minister KT Rama Rao lashed out on Tuesday at inflammatory remarks made by BJP leaders and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence on the matter. He called it ‘unacceptable’ and ‘astonishing.’

Rama Rao shared a series of news clippings of BJP lawmakers in a tweet, including MP Parvesh Verma calling for a “total boycott of a community,” MP Sadhvi Pragya Thakur calling Godse a patriot, MP Bandi Sanjay calling for “digging up mosques,” and Godhra legislator CK Raulji referring to Bilkis Bano rapists as “Sanskari.”

“Is this acceptable?” he tweeted, adding that the PM’s silence was astounding.

“All these hideous statements from BJP lawmakers & PM’s deafening silence is astonishing. Remember Modi Ji, what you permit is what you promote,” he said.

KTR calls PM Modi ‘most incompetent PM’

KTR also recently called Prime Minister Narendra Modi the “most incompetent PM” in the country’s history. “He is Prachar Mantri. He will do Mann ki Baat but won’t listen to ‘Jann ki Baat’,” KTR said.

“What Modi has achieved for sure, I must accept one thing: when he was the chief minister of Gujarat, he stated that the rupee of India only falls because the people running the Centre in Delhi are corrupt. The rupee has reached an all-time low, while ‘jumlas’ have reached an all-time high. Nonissues have now become issues,” KTR added, during his tirade against the BJP-led Centre.

Speaking about TRS superego and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s (KCR) decision to go national by rebranding the TRS as the BRS, KTR stated that the decision is intended to promote the ‘vibrant Telangana model’ across the country.

“Everyone has an equal right in this country, and that is exactly what the boss is doing. KCR garu has decided, and our entire general body has agreed to rename the TRS to Bharata Rashtra Samithi (BRS).”
