KTR to inaugurate Bahadurpura flyover on Tuesday

On April 19, KT Rama Rao will inaugurate the Bahadurpura flyover to the public. The six-lane flyover cost an estimated Rs 69 crore to build. As a result, traffic congestion in the area will be reduced and travellers will travel more efficiently.

KTR took to Twitter to announce the date of the inauguration and wrote: Will be inaugurating the Bahadurpura flyover on 19th #SRDP #Hyderabad.

Construction of the flyover is said to be part of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s Strategic Road Development Plan. With this 690-metre flyover, commuters moving in different directions through the busy Bahadurpura Junction and people visiting the Nehru Zoological Park will experience a much-needed relief.

In order to build the flyover, 45 properties had to be acquired, and the utilities of Telangana State Southern Power Distribution had to be relocated. According to sources, the work was completed on a priority basis. A drainage system has also been constructed on both sides of the road to prevent waterlogging.

Officials were recently busy decking out the underside of the flyover with greenery and developing vertical gardens on the pillars of the structure for its beautification.

In addition, a flyover connecting Aramgarh with Nehru Zoological Park, covering a distance of about 4.5 kilometres, is also under construction nearby. Officials estimated that it would be finished by next March.

Moreover, officials announced that the second phase of Falaknuma Road under Bridge (RuB) works will commence shortly. An official was reported as saying that the HMWS&SB officials have to shift the overground water supply line. Once they’re done with that, the engineering wing of the South-Central Railways will build the flyover over the railway tracks and the rest of the works will be taken up by the GHMC.
