Hyderabad: AICC State incharge RC Kuntia here on Saturday said the party was contesting in 17 Lok Sabha seats without forming any alliance with any other Opposition party in the State. He appealed to all secular parties to extend support to them in the upcoming elections.
Noting that the Congress would always fight for social justice, Kuntia alleged that the ruling TRS was the B-team of the BJP and added that it would always act as a secular party to garner votes in the State. He urged the other Opposition parties like the CPI, the CPM and Telangana Jana Samithi to work for success of Congress party wherever they didn’t field their candidates.
Condemning the comments of Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Kuntia said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sacred of Congress president Rahul Gandhi as he brought the party into power in four States in the country. He also said the BJP stooped to such level that it was trying to take the help of the family members of martyrs of Phulwama attack. He said the party would sweep the entire country in the upcoming elections. (NSS)
