Lagadapati does it again, says Warangal will be conquered by Congress

Hyderabad: Former Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal continues to create ripples in the State. The former MP from Vijayawada today said Warangal district was also going in favor of Congress party in the elections.

It may be noted here that Rajagopal had earlier said the Congress party led Grand alliance would dominate in Ranga Reddy, Adilabad, Nalgonda and Khammam districts while the ruling TRS would dominate in Nizamabad, Warangal and Medak district. He also said there will be fierce competition between the ruling TRS and the Congress in Karimnagar and Mahbubnagar district.

“I received fresh report on Warangal district this morning. It says that Warangal district is also going in favor of the Congress party,” he said while addressing a press conference in the city. Rajagopal, who earlier promised to meet the press on December 7, 2018, immediately after the completion of polling in the State, addressed the media persons in the city today following allegations of concocted survey by State minister KTR.

Agreeing that he conversed with KTR through whatsapp and told the latter that his TRS party was winning more than 65 Assembly seats on November 20, 2018, Rajagopal said he wanted to know from KTR as to why did he not object to the survey report which was in favor of the ruling TRS party. Rajagopal reiterated that he would address the press immediately after the completion of the election while making it clear that he was not acting in any political party    (NSS)
