LB Nagar segment to help TRS win LS polls

Hyderabad: Ahead of LS polls, LB Nagar segment held by congress leader Sudhir Reddy is going to play a key role. With Sudhir Reddy announcing to join the TRS party the poll heat has taken a new high in the LB Nagar segment to have its effect on the Malkajgiri Parliamentary segment. The congress is going to be empty with the leaders making beeline to the ruling party for greener pastures. Sudhir Reddy made his mind clear that he will be joining the ruling party after the congress announcing A Revanth Reddy name for Malkajgiri MP seat in the LS polls. Some of the congress leaders are not supportive to Revanth Reddy’s name for the LS seat and most of the leaders and workers from the LB Nagar segment set to join the TRS soon. Sudhir Reddy had met with TRS working president and will join the TRS very soon.

The main opposition party suffered a severe jolt with most of its MLAs preferring the ruling party and the leaders are vowing to develop their segments with the TRS Government. Sudhir Reddy won the LB Nagar segment with 1.25 lakh votes with 17000 votes margin on TRS candidate M Rammohan Goud got 96000 votes and now changing to the ruling party. With this significant change the contest in Malkajgiri segment is likely to be one sided in favour of the TRS. However, the leaders of the congress are trying their luck in the battle for LS seats from 17 segments. The TRS has plans to win the 16 MP seats and gave one seat to its ally MIM in Hyderabad. The LB Nagar segment has 11 divisions in GHMC limits and will play role in the LS polls. The TD failed to give ticket to its leader Sama Ranga Reddy in the Assembly polls as part of alliance politics and the BJP candidate won about 21,000 votes. Now for LS polls the TD and the BJP not in a position to give tough fight. (NSS)
