Maharashtra To Reopen Schools For All Classes From December 1

As per the latest reports, the Maharashtra government has given the SOPs and rules to return all schools for offline classes from December 1 in metropolitan and provincial regions, authorities said, even as a danger of the new Covid-19 variation Omicron has quite recently arisen.

State To Reopen Offline Classes For Class 1-7 From Wednesday 

The rules, given late on Sunday in continuation of School Education Minister Prof. Varsha E. Gaikwad declaration on November 26, has ordered physical distancing, face masks, cleanliness and different rules as schools gear up to invite the students back.

Prior on October 4, the schools were opened up for students in higher Classes 8-12 in metropolitan regions and 5-12 in the provincial regions, getting a decent reaction with smooth taking care of revealed by the schools.

Encouraged by the activity and the fall in the quantity of cases and fatalities, the state will resume Class 1-7 in metropolitan and 1-4 in provincial regions from Wednesday.

Also, in case any students are found with any manifestations, they won’t be allowed to enter the school grounds/premises, all schools should keep clean with ordinary sanitisation, all should wash/disinfect their hands often to fend off contamination hazards.

Local Authorities To Take Review Of Preventative Measures If More Than 5 Students Test Positive 

If, whenever, in excess of five students test Covid-19 positive inside a fortnight, the local authorities would survey the school’s preventive gauge and choose appropriately.

For now, schools have been encouraged to stay away from biometric participation frameworks and utilize elective ways, stay away from swarms like gathering, supplications, games, and so forth, and ‘group of four students should be allowed admittance to online training.

Establishing a hopeful vibe, Prof. Gaikwad said that drawing from the previous experience of returning schools, the criticism from authorities and school specialists, the going would be smooth and protected from December 1.

“From December 1, youngsters as youthful as 6 years of age will go to schools by and by. Their security and prosperity is our need. Surveyed readiness for this period of schools resuming with civil officials, Zilla Parishad CEOs, Deputy Directors of Education and other area level officials,” said Prof. Gaikwad.

The improvement comes days after the state government lifted all lockdown standards on November 27 to pre-pandemic levels even as the new danger of Omicron was hurled, bringing up issues on the future strategy.
