Malta To Rollout Booster Dose Against Covid 19 Soon

In the latest update, the Maltese Health Minister Chris Fearne said that the country has decided to roll out the booster doses of Covid 19 for everyone including the children above the age of 12 years.

Maltese Government To RollOut Booster Doses From December 6

As per the reports, the Maltese government plans to offer booster doses for the people working in schools, healthcare workers, carers, and pharmacists in a week.

Meanwhile, for the people above the age of 60 years, the booster doses will be rolled out from December 6. And for everyone above the age of 45 will be rolled out from January 2022 before the booster shots are available for the rest.

This comes after they registered 40 new cases of Covid 19 which is the highest daily tally in six weeks. They recently registered 8 cases a week ago.

Meanwhile, Fearne urged the public to remain cautious. He stressed that the health ministry doesn’t feel the need to put any more mandates. The country currently has 298 cases of Covid 19. Out of them, nine are in hospital and three o them are in ICU.

Britain To Open Bookings For Booster Shots A Month Prior

Meanwhile, the Britain announced that they will be opening the bookings for booster shots a month prior for the legible population. This comes as a way to speed up the process ahead of the upcoming winter months.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been relying heavily on the booster jabs to avoid another lockdown instead of the social distancing rules and face masks.
