Hyderabad: The GHMC’s new Mayor, Gadwal Vijaya Lakshmi today declared that she will look forward to a smooth house for the development of the GHMC by taking cooperation from all other members.
Talking to press persons on being declared as the new woman Mayor of the GHMC, Vijaya Lakshmi said that she will not tolerate it if the opposition members try to create panic, chaos in the house during its meeting.

I will not accept any sort of unnecessary protests and if they go beyond limits, she added.
She asserted for development by taking cooperation of all members in the civic body.
We will conduct the house and business for the development of the GHMC and focus on providing basic facilities and infrastructure, the mayor said.

Vijaya Lakshmi said that she will not tolerate the opposition members creating pandemonium in the house. ‘I will try to take the cooperation of all the members for addressing of the issues of the GHMC the mayor said.
Deputy Mayor Srilatha Reddy extended thanks to TRS supremo and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and municipal minister KT Rama Rao for the opportunity. We have been in the party for the past 20 years and did not get any posts.

Now we are happy for the deputy mayor post as recognition to our services for the party, she said.
