Medical, Nursing Colleges at Medak Assured

Telangana Medical and health Minister T Harish Rao has assured a 500-bed Hospital, a Medical college and a Nursing  college at Medak.

He visited Medak today and laid foundation stones for some works and inaugurated some projects.

Rao laid the foundation stone for the Girijana gurukul school for girls and college, in the presence of MLA  Padma Devender Reddy and other leaders. The building will cost ₹.4.20 crore. He unveiled the statue of Sant Gabde Balala, founder of Swatcha Bharat, near shivalayam. He also unveiled the statue of chakali ailamma, at the Medak town welcome board. He laid the foundation for the Rs. 50 lakh dobhighat  and inaugurated the  sweeping machine costing ₹.44 lakhs at Ramdoss chourastha.

Speaking at the  Washermen self respect meeting at the Junior College grounds, the Minister said the statue of Sant Gabde baba was the first one in the entire South India. He assured construction of Dobhighats in all the 33 districts in the State at ₹.two crore each. Kalyaan lakshmi and KCR kits programmes were not there anywhere except Telangana state.

Harish said he would speak to Chief Minister KCR about inclusion of washermen in S Cs and also construction of a function hall at Medak at a cost of ₹.one crore. He said during the 60 years of Congress and TDP regimes, only three medical colleges came up in the state. During the six years of TRS  government now, 33 medical colleges are being established. He said that from April first week, the programme of Rs. Three lakh for construction of a house in beneficiaries own land will commence, while continuing the double bed room house programme.

Harish further said that free power is being supplied for washermen and barber shops. Two acres of land was allotted for the community Hall for washermen at Medak. (
