Hyderabad: A meeting was convened here on Wednesday on the measures to be taken for the safety of ORR and service roads in view of the recent “Disha” incident near Thondupally ORR Tollgate.
The meeting was chaired by Harichandana Dasari, IAS, Managing Director, HCL. Prakash Reddy, IPS, DCP, Shamshabad, and Vijay Kumar, IPS, DCP (Traffic) Cyberabad and police personnel of Law and Order and Traffic and officials of HGCL were present.
During the discussions, suggestions were given to take action for providing surveillance CCTV cameras, improvement of illumination, security, signages, toll-free numbers for public assistance, parking lots for vehicles. It was also requested to increase patrolling by the police, review the CCTV recordings and so on. An exclusive cell for monitoring the ORR activities will to be accommodated in the MTCC Building at Nanakramguda.
