Minor boy kills father with inspiration from crime show for destroying evidence

Minor boy kills father with inspiration from crime show for destroying evidence With many watching crime shows for staying alert and safe from such incidents, a minor boy from Uttar Pradesh chose it to learn to dispose of the crime he committed along with the evidence.

The Minor Mathura boy kills his father, Manoj Mishra after he hit him and his 11-year-old sister. The incident took place on 2nd May when the 42 years old victim hit the accused and then began beating his daughter as well.

This was when the boy, filled with rage, hit his father’s head with a rod. To eliminate the presence of any fingerprints, the boy tied a cloth around Manoj’s neck and killed him. He then sat down to watch the crime show to learn the ways of destroying evidence of a murder.

Carrying it on a scooty with help from his mother, the Class 12 boy took his father’s body to an area about 5 kilometers from their home and set it ablaze with petrol and toilet cleaner so as to erase the identity of the dead body. “Manoj Mishra (victim) was a man of temper. On May 2, Mr Mishra had beaten up the minor accused and was beating his younger sister when the accused hit his father on his head with an iron rod and strangled with a cloth.

Later the boy took the help of his mother, Sangeeta Mishra, to carried the body on his scooty to an empty plot near Vaishno Dham and burned it,” S Mishra, Superintendent of Police (SP), Mathura said. To make the entire crime seem like a suicide, he kept the victim’s things near his body.

When the police found the body on 3rd May, there was no claim of the body with no missing report filed and the identity couldn’t be established too. After about 3 weeks on 31st May, due to repeated queries from the ISKCON department, where the victim worked as a donation collector, the family registered a missing complaint in the police station.

The body was identified by Manoj’s colleagues through his spectacles and said that they thought he went to preach the Holy book of Hindus in various places as he often does. The police suspected the minor boy when he kept asking the cops under which clauses of the law were they trying to question him.

They then recovered his phone and found that he had watched over 100 episodes of the crime show, Crime Patrol. This led to the police cementing their suspects on the boy and interrogated him again. After a series of questioning, the boy and his mother admitted to the crime. “Minor watched crime-related videos of a crime serial at least 100 times on his mobile and strangled victim in a planned way.

After frequent questioning, the minor and his mother broke down and confessed to their crime. The police arrested them both on account of murder and destroying evidence,” the officer added. After the arrest, the police gave the 11-year-old sister to her grandparents.
