Modi and Nitish Together Looted Bihar, Says Rahul Gandhi

Katihar: Even as polling is in progress for 94 seats in the second period of assembly elections, ex-Congress president Rahul Gandhi showed up in Bihar for campaigning on Tuesday and aimed at chief minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating the two had together looted Bihar, which is the reason the individuals of the state had made up their minds on ushering change.

Ponting to an election meeting at Kodha in Katihar, Gandhi said that lakhs of labours were going back home back by walking, hungry and thirsty, yet PM Modi didn’t help them during the Coronavirus emergency.  He included, “His government was in power yet the labourers were left stranded.”

Gandhi asserted the Congress party had helped migrant workers as much as they could. He included, “The same people are now coming to the people to seek votes.”

Rahul Gandhi asserted that Prime Minister Modi and CM Nitish Kumar together had looted Bihar.

He stated that people have realised it and made up their mind on change.  He added, “The government of the Grand Alliance, which will be formed, won’t be the government of any particular religion, caste or class. It will be the government for the whole Bihar, a government of the labourers and of the poor.”

Discussing demonetisation, Gandhi said that at the hour of demonetisation, it was said that it was a battle against black money. Yet, the PM made individuals queue outside banks.

Accusing the Prime Minister and Bihar’s chief minister of not satisfying their promises, Gandhi said the PM had vowed to give work to the individuals, however, individuals haven’t gotten jobs until now. Even today, farmers from the state need to relocate to different states to earn a living.

Gandhi said there is a major floods issue in the district. He added, “There is sufficient paddy produced in the state yet the processing isn’t done here.”

Rahul Gandhi also asserted that the farmers are very angry with Modi because of the three recently enacted farm laws.
