MP govt. announced probe into alleged objectionable literature in Madrasas

Following an announcement that a rule of ‘police verification’ before marriage will be introduced in Madhya Pradesh to check love-jihad cases in the state, the saffron Home Minister Narottam Mishra has now come up with another hateful yoke that a probe will be conducted to ascertain what sort of a material is being taught in the madrasas in the state.

His remarks came after the reports that few madrasas in the state are preaching objectionable literature. While reacting to the reports, the saffron home minister said that it came to his notice that few madrasas are propagating objectionable literature. As such, a probe will be initiated to ascertain what kind of literature is being taught in the madrasas in order to prevent any untoward situation later.

“The District Megistrate will be told to initiate inquiry into the report and ascertain about the literature being taught in the madrasas through officials from the Education Department,” he said.

There were reports that the Madhya Pradesh government too began surveillance of the madrasas in the state similar the way the Uttar Pradesh and Assam governments are done in their states long back. Even the government sought details with regard to the activities of the madrasas besides the literature being taught to the students in these institutions.

Apart from this, allegations too were made that few madrasas are being run illegally in the state similar the way it was done in Uttar Pradesh and Assam.

Inspections were carried out in the state by the team of officials from the Child Rights Protection Commission and later four madrasas were closed in Bhopal alone. Several other institutions too were found closed post inspections.

Recently, the the saffron Home Minister Narottam Mishra announced that a stricter rule in on the cards to prevent cases of love-Jihad, a much talked illusionistic tendency being spread mostly in BJP ruled states in the country.

According to Home Minister Dr.Narottam Mishra, the new move will make it mandatory for all the organisations performing marriages, to go for a police verification of both the couple before solemnising the same. All such organisations must have to apprise the police before performing such marriages as per new rules.
