MP Revanth Reddy visits Devarayamzal lands

Congress party MP A. Revanth Reddy today visited the controversial Seetharama Swami temple’s lands in Devarayamzal village of Shamirpet Mandal.

He visited the 84-acre venture that came up in the same controversial lands. He also inspected the lands in survey 212 to survey number 218 of the area.

Speaking on the occasion he alleged that the registration department authorities were registering the banned properties of the village despite the fact that they were kept under section 22A of the Indian Registration Act. He said that different people had encroached upon the 1531 acres of land of the temple. Reddy said that the relative of the CM of the state KCR and IAS officer M. Raghunandan Rao was appointed as the head of the IAS officers committee which is inquiring into the issue.

He alleged that the state government did not have the commitment to protect the endowments department lands. He alleged that the ruling party leaders had encroached upon 15 acres of land in the area in the name of Namaste Telangana publications and Telangana Today printing press.
