MP Team Awe Struck Over Haritha Haram Project, Hails Steps For Forest Rejuvenation

Hyderabad: A team of forest officers from Madhya Pradesh has visited the State to see various activities taken under “Telanganaku Haritha Haram” program. The team visited various activities taken up by the Forest Department in Gajwel constituency in Siddipet District.

The visitors were highly impressed with the works taken up by the Forest department. They visited the block plantations inside the forests, rejuvenation of degraded forests, avenue plantations and Forest Urban Park being developed at Sangapur in Gajwel. They were highly impressed with the survival of the plantations taken up for the last three years. They were surprised to see the magnitude and quality of works taken up under Haritha Haram program.

The efforts made by Telangana Forest department in restoring the degraded natural forests with minimal intervention under Assisted Natural Regeneration were highly appreciated by the team. They appreciated the efforts of the State government in increasing the green cover in the State through Telanganaku Haritha Haram program.
P. K. Jha, IFS, PCCF & HoFF, Telangana briefed the visitors about various other aspects of Haritha Haram program and various other new initiatives taken by the State government in other areas as well.

The Madhya Pradesh team comprised Ashok Awasthi, G S Sisodia, Ram Kisan Solanki, Antar Singh Ohria, All Deputy Conservator of Forests, Madhya Pradesh State.(NSS)
