Multi-level parking complex in Nampally set to open from April 2023

A multi-level parking complex (MLP) in the Nampally area with parking for 250 cars and 100 two-wheeler vehicles is set to open to the public in April 2023.

The complex, which will operate without human intervention, will have access to modern, automated technology and will be built on a 2,000-square-metre plot of land owned by HMRL (Hyderabad Metro Rail).

Mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi paid a visit to the parking complex construction site on Monday and directed officials to expedite and complete the work by the deadline.

She announced plans to build more multi-level parking facilities in the city using advanced technology via public-private partnerships.

The newly constructed complex will feature an ultra-modern building with prefab technology, consisting of 15 floors with a total height of 39.06 metres, including three basement levels.

The MLP facility will have ten floors, covering 65 percent of the total floor space which will be used for parking and the remaining five floors dedicated to commercial use.

The facility includes two theatres and a food court, as well as ‘german technology sensors’ to provide parking for 250 cars and 100 motorcycles.

Its development plan includes in and out level features, as well as lift facilities for women and the disabled.

According to reports, the state government intends to construct similar facilities in crowded areas such as Ameerpet, Miyapur, Serilingampally, and Banjara Hills.

Along with increasing traffic congestion, parking problems are also escalating. As a result, in order to check this with modern methods, the officials researched and decided to build parking yards in various areas throughout the city. Mayor said, “To ensure traffic chaos due to lack of parking across the city, the State government identified various locations to build parking complexes in Ameerpet, Miyapur, Serilingampally and Banjara Hills.”
