New Pakistan Government Rules Out Resumption of Bilateral Trade With India

The new Pakistan central government seems to be making big changes within the policies amidst the economic crisis. The Pakistan Ministry of Commerce (MoC) has precluded the chance of a resumption of stalled down bilateral trade with India, local media revealed.

The reaction came from the commerce minister over the broad hypothesis via social media that the new government drove by Pak Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is thinking about a proposition to continue trade with its chief adversary India.

“There is no adjustment of Pakistan’s arrangement on trade with India,” an authority declaration from the commerce minister said. An authority source in the Pakistan Prime Minister’s Secretariat let local media know that the arrangement of an trade official New Delhi is one of the standard postings, adding that the post of trade official the Pakistan consulate in New Delhi has been empty for a really long time.

The state leader has supported a senior official of the Commerce and Trade Group, Qamar Zaman, for posting in New Delhi. He is one of the 15 officials named for posting in different nations. “The choice cycle for the arrangement of every one of these trade officials was begun by the past government,” the authority in the Prime Minister’s Secretariat said.

“We have not transformed anything in that frame of mind of the past government,” the source said, adding the determination interaction was found on merit, local media revealed.

As per a source in the commerce minister, the arrangement of another trade official New Delhi, similar to the past two preceding him, won’t get a visa and his time will end. Hence, it is impossible that India will concede a visa to the new official named by Islamabad for posting in New Delhi assuming India follows its past approach.

The source added that before, the government delegated two trade officials for posting New Delhi yet they were denied visas. As per the declaration, the MoC oversees 57 trade missions 46 nations, which incorporates the post of Minister (Trade and Investment) in New Delhi, India.

The post of Minister (Trade and Investment) in New Delhi has existed for over twenty years and has no association with the operationalisation of trade with India or generally in the ongoing setting, local media revealed.
