Eight advanced X-ray scanners and under-vehicle scanning systems have been installed at the newly inaugurated Dr. BR Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat to ensure the effective identification of various prohibited luggage items and suspicious vehicles.
India designed and developed these X-ray Baggage Inspection Systems and Under Vehicle Scanning Systems. With this, baggage screening and incoming vehicle inspection will be more secure and thorough while also being faster.
Vehant Technologies, a pioneer in artificial intelligence and machine learning-based surveillance, has installed eight Kritiscan 6040 scanners for luggage scanning, according to a press release. These baggage scanners, which use 3D technology to generate three-dimensional images of the object, provide the operator with an isometric view of the scanned baggage.
Four Under Vehicle Scanning Systems were also installed, which thoroughly check all vehicles entering the premises. When a vehicle passes over the scanner, the system captures the chassis number of the vehicle, the license plate, and the driver’s face, according to the release.
Kapil Bardeja, CEO and Co-Founder of Vehant Technologies said, “With the help of these security systems, it is easy to inspect luggage and vehicles both in the day and night and they are capable of working in any weather condition.”
On April 30, the chief minister formally inaugurated the newly constructed secretariat. The Secretariat complex, the brainchild of Chief Minister KCR, has risen near the banks of Hussain Sagar lake in the city’s heart, on the same plot of land where the old Telangana Secretariat and earlier undivided Andhra Pradesh stood.
The chief minister laid the foundation stone for the Secretariat on June 27, 2019, but construction did not begin until January 2021, due to the covid-19 pandemic, court cases, and other issues.
According to the release, the domes of the new Secretariat have been built in the styles of the Neelakanteswara Swamy temple of the Kakatiya period in Nizamabad, designs of the palaces of the royals of Wanaparthy ‘Samsthanam’ in Telangana and the pattern of the Hanuman temple in Sarangpur, Gujarat.
The national emblem atop the massive domes has raised the structure to its intended height of 265 feet.
