Odisha Bans The Sale and Use of Firecrackers Amidst Potential Covid 19 Third Wave

Odisha government as of Thursday has banned the sale and utilization of fireworks during the festive season.

Odisha Bans Firecrackers To Curb The Spread Of Covid 19 And Pollution 

“With the end goal of securing the soundness of overall population and to control the spread of disease, sale and utilization of fireworks will stay disallowed during this festive month,” peruses the state government request.

The state government further expanded the night check in time between 10 pm and 5 am for a month from October 1 to November 1, 2021 in all metropolitan spaces of the state.

Nonetheless, the night time limit in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack will be forced from 8 pm to 5 am from October 11 to October 20.

It further said neighborhood specialists might choose the quantity of people to go to any strict celebration/custom/puja in their wards with severe adherence to COVID-19 rules.

Rajasthan Bans Firecrackers 

Meanwhile, the Rajasthan government also announced ban on the sale and use of firecrackers from October 1 to January 31. The reason for the same given by the state government states that the smoke from the firecrackers will affect the health of the people and can be a cause of the third wave.

The Home Department has asked the authorities to not issue licences.
