Hyderabad: A man from Hyderabad was killed in a road accident in Bayview district of San Francisco, US, on Sunday.
According to reports, the man identified as Syed Waseem Ali, 27, a resident of Dabeerpura, was travelling in a car when it collided with another car between Third Street and Paul Avenue intersection. Waseem died on the spot while another woman, who sustained injuries, died at a local hospital after being shifted there. One more person escaped with injuries in the accident. Waseem lived at Walnut Ave, Fremont in California.
The family members of the deceased requested External Affairs Minister Dr S Jayashankar to help them in getting the body to India for final rites and take up the issue with the local authorities for thorough investigation in the accident.
Syed Waseem Ali, 27, from (CSE, 2012 Batch Green Fort Engineering Colleges, Bandlaguda) a resident of Dabeerpura died along with one co-passenger when his car met with an accident on Sunday at 1.15 am at the intersection of Third Street and Paul Avenue, Bay view District San Francisco. Waseem died on spot with another passenger. According to the witnesses around said Waseem was driving the car correctly, but the speeding car came down very speedily and hit Waseem’s car. Suddenly he got cardiac arrest and died on spot. Syed Waseem used to live at 4212 Walnut Ave, Fremont CA 94538.
As soon as the news reached Amjed Ullah Khan (Spokesman) MBT who is on a USA tour called up Syed Waseem’s friends to know more details about the accident and his relatives in Hyderabad and assured all help. Khan requested the External Affairs Minister for necessary help in shifting the body of Syed Waseem back to Hyderabad and provide help in getting visa to the family members, who want to visit the US.
Khan also requested Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, Indian Embassy in USA, Indian Consulate General in San Francisco, USA Embassy in Delhi and USA Consulate in Hyderabad for necessary help to Syed Waseem’s family. (NSS)
