Old Woman in Uttar Pradesh Beats Covid With Prone Position

While Covid 19 patients across the country are struggling to find themselves medical oxygen, a woman from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh managed to bring up her oxygen level by lying in a prone position.

82 Year Old Woman Recovers From Covid 19 Without Medical Oxygen

Vidya Srivastava, 82, hailing from Alinagar in Gorakhpur tested positive for the Coronavirus earlier this month. Hari Mohan Srivastave, her elder son said that after she tested positive, they kept her in home isolation. However, one day her oxygen level dropped to 79 and her family started to worry about her.

But they didn’t give up and made her lie down in the prone position. They kept her stomach down towards the bed. Slowly, her situation improved and her oxygen level went up to 94 within four days.

Hari revealed that he spent four days in his mother’s room and monitored her oxygen levels. She didn’t get an oxygen cylinder. He said that soon after their entire family had tested positive. But they all tried to keep each other in a positive mind frame. They took precautions and medicines that their doctors advised. And after all this time, their family has recovered from the pandemic virus.

Talking to the media, Hari Mohan said that the treatment of his mother was his responsibility. Along with protecting his family members. Even though their family was scared of the second wave of coronavirus after what they have seen in the news. But the doctors gave them courage. And everything is fine now.

Uttar Pradesh Predicted To Be The Next Covid Hotspot

As per the latest reports, Uttar Pradesh reported over 1.9 lakh cases of active Covid 19 cases by the end of April. The ongoing deadly surge in the Covid 19 cases is expected to reach the peak by mid-May. The daily count is expected to reach 5 lakh.

States with a bigger population will have a larger infection rate and the health infrastructure in such states may not be able to handle such a scenario.
