Hyderabad: City Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar has invoked P.D. Act against Muvva Veeraiah Chowdary of Sanjeev Reddy Nagar Police Station.
According to a press release, accused Muvva Veeraiah Chowdary, 33, an employee in SMS Pharma, Bollarum and residing at Kukatpally has been stealing cash from ATM centers under pretext of helping the customers and diverting their attention by exchanging the ATM cards under the limits of Hyderabad and Warangal police commissionerates. He committed 23 such offences and struck fear among the general public.
The Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar Police arrested the accused on October 30 last year and remanded him to judicial custody. After his release from jail on bail, he again committed 12 offences in Warangal district and other districts of Andhra Pradesh. He was again arrested on April 13 this year by Parchur Police in Prakasam district. The Detention Order was executed on him on September 29, 2018 and was lodged in the District Jail, Ongole, Prakasam district. (NSS)
