Police and Religious Leaders Ensure Peaceful Milad-un-Nabi Rally

In anticipation of the Milad-un-Nabi rally on October 1, Hyderabad’s Commissioner of Police, CV Anand, issued a plea to religious leaders to ensure the peaceful organization of the procession. During a press briefing, Anand shared details of a recent meeting held at the South Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police’s office with representatives from the Markazi Milad Julus Committee and other members of the Muslim community.

The meeting centered on the coinciding schedules of Milad-un-Nabi and Ganesh immersion, which was set to occur on the same day for the first time in 35 years. Anand commended the committee’s decision to reschedule the Milad procession to October 1 and emphasized that the police department welcomed this decision, viewing it as a reflection of the harmonious culture of Hyderabad and Telangana.

He further highlighted this decision as a positive example that should be perpetuated. Anand praised the professionalism with which the police personnel were handling their duties during the ongoing Ganesh pandals and processions. He noted that the police, in collaboration with GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) officials, were committed to ensuring the smooth execution of these processions.
