Hyderabad: Anil Kumar, IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Hyderabad city, today reviewed bandobust arrangements for the forthcoming Ganesh Chaturthi and Moharrum festivals with all the officers and instructed them to make pucca security arrangements without causing any hurdles to processions of Ganesh idols.
Addressing the police officers, the Addl CP said, “there was possibility of increasing number of Ganesh idols in the capital city. Keep in touch with local police and collect the information well in advance about the installation and routes of immersion of idols. All the officers should personally visit the route and check whether there are any obstructions and ensure free passage of vehicles carrying idols”.
The Addl CP (Traffic) also assigned specific duties to specific officers. He said there should not be any shortage of logistics and requirement of all the police stations shall be fulfilled. He specifically reviewed the traffic arrangements made at the venue of “Khairatabad Bada Ganesh”. He instructed the Traffic police officers to see there should not be any inconvenience to the visitors. He also assured that one Special Platoon of Reserved Force would be deployed at the venue to assist the Traffic Police. (NSS)
