Poster war: Rajasthan Cong, BJP attack each other with ‘Naatu rhyme’

At a time when ‘RRR’ is garnering laurels from across the world for its ‘Naatu’ song which won the Oscars, Rajasthan BJP and Congress are trying to garner eyeballs, cashing in on the popularity of the song by attacking each other on burning issues.

While Rajasthan BJP posted a poster showing two characters from the film Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and attacked the ruling government over paper leaks, the Congress on the other side attacked the saffron party by posting two heroes of the film as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Adani.

While Congress captioned the poster with graphic characters showing ‘Modi and Adani’ and wrote ‘Looto, Looto’ rhyming them with ‘Naatu Naatu’ on Monday, BJP responded by posting the same graphics showing Gehlot and Rahul as lead heroes and captioned it as ‘Paper Leak Karke Nachoo Nachoo.’

Surprisingly, both parties have dressed the opposite party leaders in a similar dress as worn by lead actors of the film Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the film.

Remember that Naatu Naatu’ picturized on Ram Charan and NTR Jr from the film ‘RRR’ made India proud again as it won the Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards.

Leaving behind names such as Lady Gaga, Diane Warren, and Rihanna, ‘Naatu Naatu’ made history after contending against songs such as ‘Applause’ from ‘Tell It Like a Woman’, ‘Hold My Hand’ from ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, ‘Lift Me Up’ from ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ and ‘This Is a Life’ from ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’.

Music composer M.M. Keeravaani said on receiving the honor: “Thank you Academy. I grew up listening to The Carpenters… and here I am at the Oscars. There was only one wish on my mind… So were Rajamouli and my family… ‘RRR’, is the pride of every Indian. Thank you.”
