Prashanth Reddy Criticised That Andhra Pradesh Government

Minister V Prashanth Reddy today criticised that Andhra Pradesh government is begging with the centre for state governance.

The Minister comments raked a controversy that the Jagan Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh was begging in the centre.

Participating in a paddy protest call by the TRS Government at Nizamabad, the minister charged that the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is relying on the centre support as it faces a financial crisis. With TRS boss K Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao achieving the statehood we are able to spend our own funds for the state development, he claimed. He said that the AP rulers criticised that Telangana will have to beg if statehood was achieved. AP CM is now begging with the centre for regular expenditure as the state financial problems, he charged.

However after the statehood, Telangana is doing well with its own funds, the minister claimed. With no other go Jagan Reddy asking funds from the Centre, he charged. As the Centre pressures the Jagan government to set up power meters in the state he said adding that Telangana offers free power to the farmers.

Reacting to this, AP Minister Perni Nani hit out at Prashanth Reddy. He asked why KCR was frequently visiting Delhi to beg for funds and to join the cabinet in the Centre, Nani asked. Despite Hyderabad getting huge income, Telangana is now in debts, which he ridiculed. It seems the TRS boss is going to Delhi to join the union cabinet and get some posts there, Nani quipped. KCR is adopting double standards as he talks against the BJP government outside and meets union ministers to seek their support, he said. Hyderabad was developed with support by the AP people and the TRS leaders showing anguish on others, Nani said.

AP Government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy fired on Prashanth Reddy for his comments. For these comments of begging or insult, we the AP leaders opposed bifurcation, Reddy claimed. Only Hyderabad was developed and we opposed the same for resources, he said.
