Preparation Work On New Parliament Building Started, Deadline Oct 2022

New Delhi: Preparation work has started for the construction of the new parliament building. The boundary wall of the Parliament House has been blockaded. In an attempt to prevent dust and pollution during the construction work, nets are being placed.

The construction work will formally being in December and is relied upon to be completed by October 2022.

Om Birla, Lok Sabha Speaker, had gone to the Parliament House complex as of late and provided special guidelines to the agencies engaged with the construction work.

As indicated by the officials keeping an eye over the project, all fundamental arrangements are being made before the construction work starts. Construction activities will occur only as indicated by the rules. When the preparations are finished, the construction work will begin subsequent to following all the formalities in December.

The brand new building will moreover have a magnificent Constitution Hall to display India’s’ democratic heritage, a lounge for individuals from Parliament, a library, many committee rooms, dining areas and sufficient parking space.

At the meeting, Om Birla said there should be no trade off in guaranteeing quality control and timely completion of the work relating to the new Parliament House.

Tata Projects Limited won the bid to build the new parliament building at an expense of ₹ 861.90 crores. The new building will be built near the current one under the Central Vista redevelopment project.

The Lok Sabha Secretariat said in a statement that Mr Birla led a review meeting regarding the formation of the new Parliament House. The meeting was moreover visited by Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Shri Hardeep Singh Puri.

During the meeting, Mr Birla was notified about the advancement made in the moving of facilities and other infrastructure from the region proposed for the construction of the new building.

Auditing the different aspects and progress of the project, Om Birla emphasized the smooth coordination and settling issues between different agencies involved on a daily basis.
