Hyderabad: Agriculture minister S Niranjan Reddy today said that the officials prepare an action plan Yasangi crop in the state.
At a virtual meeting, the minister said that this time 72 lakh metric tons of paddy and other grains to be produced.
Niranjan Reddy asked the officials to educate AEs, AEOs, and farmers against maze crop production. The center is importing maze and it’s production will not fetch MSP he said. Initiate measures to encourage the farmers for regulated farming to get benefits., Reddy said.
He said that corona forced people to breach villages to do farming and more rains filled lakes, water bodies, and ponds. We expect more crops and local officials to guide farmers to take up-regulated farming to get more benefits.
Niranjan Reddy instructed officials to ensure stocks of urea and other fertilizers and supply to farmers on time. Do not delay in the stocking of the area, and fertilizers to farmers. The center has offered 18 lakhs of fertilizers including 10 lakh mt of urea he said.
We will get that on time for farmers he said. The minister also said that Rythuvedikas construction is completed by the Dasara festival.
