Private hospitals should not charge more than fixed by Govt

Tadepally: The Chief Minister of the state YS Jagan Mohan Reddy today expressed his anger over the charge of the huge amounts of fees by private hospitals for the treatment of Coronavirus patients. Jagan asked the district collectors to focus on the issue. He made it clear that no private hospitals should charge more than the amount fixed by the state government. Jagan held a video conference with all district collectors on the implementation of the Spandana program in the state at his camp office.

Speaking on the occasion the CM warned the management of the private hospitals that they would face action if they charged more charge than he charges fixed by them. He asked them to show humanity toward Coronavirus patients. Jagan made it clear that the responsibility to provide beds to the coronavirus patients within 15 minutes of their arrival at the hospitals lied on the shoulders of the district collectors. He asked the officials to focus on the phone calls received to the Centers of the state.

CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has held a review meeting on the issue of floods in the Krishna and the Godavari rivers. Jagan has asked the officials to prepare an approximate amount for the crop damages sustained by the farmers of the state. He also asked the officials to take steps for the provision of additional payment of ₹ 2000 for victims of Godavari river floods. He also asked them to give an additional 25kgs of rice, 1Kg palm oil, 1Kg of potatoes, 1kg of onions, and 2liters of kerosene to the victims before September 7th, 2020.
