Process of applying for new electricity meter connection online

Online applications for meter connection are now available in Telangana. The purpose of this post is to demonstrate how to apply for a new meter connection online. This article highlights the TSNPDCL step-by-step procedure of establishing a new meter connection.

An electricity connection or bill is essential for establishing residence and proving address. It can be done in two ways. The first is through Meeseva and the second one can be done via the TSNPDCL portal. You can go for the method that suits you best.

Meter Connection via Meeseva

You can find Meeseva in every corner of Telangana. The Telangana Meeseva portal allows you to apply from home or by visiting any of the meeseva centres.

A few documents are necessary before you can establish new connections. Please see the resources below.

Essential documents include: 1. Completed Messeva application form, 2. Identity proofs including Aadhar, driving license, voter ID, PAN and ration card, 3. Caste certificate, 4. Receipt for ownership/GP house tax, 5. Local linemen wiring certificate, 6. Photos

Procedure of Meter Application.

The first step is to download the new application form for electricity meters.

The second step is to complete the application form with all the information requested, such as:

  1. Aadhar No.
  2. Applicant Name
  3. The name of the applicant’s father
  4. Caste
  5. Consumer types such as individuals, companies, etc.
  6. The purpose of power supply
  7. Specify where power supply is needed
  8. Load details
  9. Contact details

The third step entails ensuring that all documentation is in order.

The fourth step is to submit it to a Meeseva centre, where the information will be entered into the Meeseva Portal.

The fifth step is to get a receipt for your application.

You’re done. It’s that simple. Upon completion of the verification, a new electricity meter will be given to you.

New Meter Connection via TSNPDCL Portal

Start by visiting the TSNPDCL website.

In the second step, select ‘New Service Registration’ in the drop-down menu.

Then, select ‘LT Service Registration’ from the drop-down menu.

In step four, click ‘New Connection’ in the LT Service Tab.

In step five, you’ll see a new online application form.

In step six, you will need to enter all of the required information, just like a traditional application form.

In step seven, you must upload all relevant papers.

The eighth step is to make a payment.

Lastly, you’ll be given an application number. Make sure you keep track of your application number so you can view its status in a few days.
