Process to vacate the old structure of Osmania Hospital is at a fast pace

Hyderabad: The process to vacate the old building of the Osmania Hospital of Hyderabad is going at a fast pace. 1168 bedded Well Known Hospital of the City has its history which was built by the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan and it was opened for the public in 1910.

One of the biggest states owned hospital was in the headlines recently when the drain and rainwater gushed its ground floor after rain battered in the City recently.

The medicos and the attendants of the patients had faced untold hardships due to the water that forced the administration to shift the patients to the first floor very next day. The process to vacate the building would be completed till next Friday.

The several chambers, offices and the patients were shifted to other places as the old heritage building is in dilapidated condition.

It is learnt that the government want to build twin towers in the place after razing the same. The medicos had recently agitated and demanded to build a new structure after demolishing the old one.
