Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today stated that the State government aims to provide Ration Cards to the poor in Telangana.
He distributed ration cards at a program in the city here with officials.
There are 5,85,756 ration cards in Hyderabad districts to benefit 21,90,034 persons through the PDS system. Another 56,064 ration cards are being distributed to cater to the needs of the poor in the district, he said.

This will help 2.25 lakh more people benefit from the ration cards, he claimed. The minister said that the new cardholders can get their rations from the shops from August itself. The minister further said that the TRS Government is spending huge funds of Rs 45000 cr for welfare.
A lot of people are getting ration cards, pensions, and housing facilities in the state, he claimed. He attributed the schemes to the vision of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. KCR Government is determined to avoid hunger problems of the poor and offer basic facilities, he said. MLA Kaleru Venkatesh, MLC VaniDevi, deputy mayor Srilatha Reddy and officials were present.
