Revanth complains against Uttam announcing his wife for Assembly bypoll

Hyderabad : Congress MP A. Revanth Reddy here on Thursday lodged a complaint to party high command against TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy for unilaterally announcing candidature of his wife and former MLA N. Padmavathi Reddy from the Huzurnagar Assembly constituency for the upcoming Assembly by-polls.

In his complaint made to AICC State incharge RC Kuntia, Revanth Reddy alleged that Uttam Kumar Reddy didn’t consult any party leader before announcing the candidature of his wife. He urged the AICC incharge to issue a show-cause notice to the PCC president on the issue. He said Uttam Kumar Reddy did not take prior permission from the party high command before making the announcement on the issue. He said the announcement of the candidate was a total mistake.

While responding to the complaint lodged by Revanth Reddy, Kuntia said he would take the complaint to the notice of the party high command. (NSS)
