Revanth Likely to Contest M’Nagar L S Seat

Hyderabad : The firebrand Leader of Congress Party and TPCC working president A. Revanth Reddy, who lost the election from Kodangal Assembly seat.  is likely to contest for the  Mahbubnagar Lok Sabha  seat in the coming  elections. The state leadership of the party is planning to propose his name for the seat, according to sources.

The process to announce the names of the contesting candidates has already intensified in the state among the political parties. While the rival BJP has also initiated the process to identity suitable party candidates to contest the Lok Sabha elections, the congress party has also geared up  the process. It is also likely to announce the names of the party’s contesting candidates from all the Lok Sabha seats in the state.

The party leadership is of the view that Revanth is a strong candidate for the Lok Sabha seat and he has the ability to emerge as the winner. The ruling TRS Party’s sitting MP AP Jithender Reddy will contest from the Mahbubnagar seat and try his luck once again.

It may be recalled that the ruling TRS is keen on winning 16 out of the 17 Lok Sabha seats from the State, leaving only the Hyderabad seat to MIM.(NSS)
