Revanth Reddy urges PM Modi for CBI inquiry into Srisailam fire mishap

Hyderabad: Congress party leaders and MP A.Revanth Reddy today urged the prime minister of the country, Narendra Modi, to order a CBI probe into the tragic fire accident at Srisailam powerhouse recently to bring out the actual reasons behind the accident besides the inquiry by Central Electricity Authority(CEA). The fire mishap has claimed the lives of nine people.

He wrote a letter to the PM on the issue. In his letter, he told the MP that there was a criminal angle in the incident. He said that the Srisailam accident had led to the loss of crores of rupees’ public property. He told the PM that the fire accident at the plant would benefit some people.  Reddy said that CBI inquiry into the Srisailam accident would alone bring the facts to the fore. Targeting the current CMD of TS Genco and Transco he said that the two  Organisations were incurring losses due to the presence of Rao. He also urged the PM to order an inquiry into the tender’s finalized and power purchase agreements executed during the period of Rao.
